find the folder where the downloaded icon is. right click on the "Minecraft Launcher" shortcut you just created on your desktop. 
If you prefer the old one like me, you can download the icon i've extracted from the old launcher.įollow the instructions below to change the shortcut icon: Microsoft changed tbe icon for the new minecraft launcher to a new one. However you might notice that the graphic/icon for the launcher looks weird.
The Minecraft Launcher shortcut should be now on the desktop!. Windows will ask you to create that shotcut on desktop. find "Minecraft Launcher", right click on it and choose "Create Shortcut". in the box copy-paste " shell:AppsFolder " (without quotes) and hit Enter/OK. So after installing Minecraft Launcher, You can find it hard to make an shortcut for it, searching for Minecraft in start menu and right-clicking doesnt show either "Create shortcut" nor "Open file location" options (#spoiler) = neat!
